Yamaha DT400 OFF-road Scrambler | Photoshoot

Working so regularly with the team at Purpose Built Moto we have become very good at what we do. The hardest part is trying to find spaces that measure up to the style and quality of the bike. This DT400 scrambler is nothing short of a masterpiece, to photograph we needed something as unique as the bike itself. Tom had been told about this studio space on the Gold Coast that wasn’t put together like a regular photo studio. The only bad thing, the space was on the 2nd floor without a lift.

The studio space has this cool diffused lighting, through DIY-style timber frames adding a cool element to the studio. There was also some old furniture around that we were able to use for some more lifestyle photos.

The studio photography was done with my Sony A7iii + Sigma 24-70mm + Sony 16-35mm.

No lights were used the space had a lot of great natural lighting.

The video below is a rundown of the bike, Tom runs through what he has done on the build with some close-up shots to match what he is talking about.

I shot this with my Sony A7iii & a Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 with the use of 2 fill lights to lighten the subject.

Video shot in Slog2, edited with Final cut pro and colour graded with colorfinale.
