Becoming a Videographer for an Australian Supercar Team

A big passion of mine has been cars, bikes and anything with an engine. Since becoming a fulltime videographer I have always wanted to work with a race team, and this year I made that dream a reality. Starting with PremiAir Nulon Racing, a team competing in the Supercars Championship. With drivers Jimmy Golding and Tim Slade at the helm, it's been a thrill to capture their speed and skill.

The Repco Supercars Championship Overview

The Repco Supercars Championship, formerly known as the Australian Touring Car Championship, is the top motorsport category in Australia. Recognized globally as one of the best touring car categories in the world, it has grown from a single-race series to a leader in motorsport entertainment. This year, the championship features the new Gen3 ruleset, with the Chevrolet Camaro joining the Ford Mustang on the grid, enhancing driver safety and improving racing dynamics.

My Role with PremiAir Nulon Racing

Joining PremiAir Nulon Racing has been a dream come true. Each event is worked on over 4 big days, with our team travelling across Australia to compete. So far, I've travelled with the team to Darwin and Perth, with upcoming events in Townsville, Sydney, and Tasmania.

At each event, my day starts before the sun rises and ends long after it sets. Filming and editing videos to be released daily is a challenging yet incredibly rewarding task. The adrenaline of capturing the team's highs and lows, the roaring engines, and the camaraderie in the pit lane make every moment worthwhile.

Capturing the Heart of Supercars Racing

Being on the track with PremiAir Nulon Racing, I've witnessed firsthand the dedication and skill of drivers Jimmy Golding and Tim Slade. Their precision and speed on the track are matched by the seamless work behind the scenes from the entire team. My goal is to bring these elements to life through my videos, sharing the raw energy and excitement of Supercars racing with fans around the world. I will also be working towards showing the audience more details on the tactics, and the decisions and teaching them about the process.

As we gear up for the next races in Townsville, Sydney, and Tasmania, I'm excited to continue this journey. Each location offers new challenges and opportunities to capture the essence of the Repco Supercars Championship.
