Queensland to South Australia | The Christmas Road Trip

Driving from Queensland to South Australia on a road trip is an adventure that offers a unique blend of natural beauty, culture, and fun. The journey starts in Queensland, a state known for its tropical climate, beautiful beaches, and lush rainforests. The destination is South Australia, a state known for its wine regions, rugged coastline, and unique wildlife. The drive was done with myself, my partner and our 2 dogs.

We set off on our journey in a Toyota Prado, a reliable and comfortable vehicle that was perfect for the long drive. The first day of the trip was spent driving and stopping every 2 hours to let the dogs out and stretch our legs, I even got a skate in on the way down at one of the stops.

As we got deep into New South Wales, we stopped in Mudgee to catch up with an old friend, Grant. It was great to catch up with him and hear about all the things he's been up to since we last saw him.

The next day we continued driving through New South Wales, and finally crossed the border into South Australia. We drove straight to Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, where we stayed at my brother's house. While we were in town we caught up with friends and family for Christmas. It was a great way to spend the holidays and we enjoyed our time in Adelaide very much.

After a week in Adelaide, we set off on the next leg of our journey, heading southeast towards the coast. Our destination was Beachport and Millicent, two small towns located on the coast of South Australia. We spent a week exploring the area, visiting the sand dunes and the beaches. The weather was perfect, with warm sunshine and a cool breeze blowing in off the ocean.

We also caught up with friends and family while we were in Beachport. It was great to see them again and spend some time together over the Christmas break.

A big part of the trip for me was creating some content for our 4wd, I have created some deals with brands across Australia including; Redarc, Blackbear tyres, ROH wheels, tentbox & Redback Exhausts. As we were going to be spending a lot of time on the road in different locations I wanted to maximise the photo opportunities for those brands

On the drive home, we took our time, stopping in Murchison the first night, Gunning at a friend's place on the second night, and a great free camp in Coopernook on the third night. It was a great way to end our road trip and we arrived home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Overall, driving from Queensland to South Australia on a road trip was an amazing experience that we will never forget. The beautiful scenery, great weather, and the opportunity to catch up with friends and family made it an unforgettable journey.
